FG Behind the Scenes: James Fellbaum

Jimmy has been indispensable in FG’s emergence, using his aptitude for photography to help visually present our cause.

Jimmy is in his 14th year of teaching at a public middle school in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. He currently teaches AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and Tech Apps, and also serves on multiple campus committees. Jimmy graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors of History and then from Texas Women’s University with a Masters in Educational Administration.

Outside of working in education, Jimmy also spends evenings and weekends, working as a sports and special events photographer. Jimmy has been taking photos for as long as he could hold a camera and started his own photography business back in 2005.

“I enjoy finding little moments that make up the ‘bigger picture’ of events and life. I feel that is what we should all be living for each day. Teaching and photography allow me to do the things I love and provide for my family. I cannot imagine doing any other type of job or career.”

Jimmy also enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and genealogy.

Kenny and Jimmy were friends for more than a decade, and met when they both were coaching together at the same school. Jimmy was there for the birth of both of Kenny’s beautiful girls as well as the tragic loss of Finnleigh.

As current Treasurer, Tedi Infante recalls,

“Jimmy was one of the first to console Kenny after Finnleigh passed away. The way he reached out, offering to help in any way that he could means a great deal and is a testament to his character. Jimmy is a selfless man.”

Understanding the importance of pool safety and without hesitation, Jimmy has been so willing to offer his photography talents to help promote our cause.

“I chose to get involved with Finnleigh’s Grace, because I am also the parent of two young children and I believe that protecting our children and educating our parents are of equal importance when it comes to pool safety.”

Finnleigh’s Grace expresses their utmost gratitude for Jimmy’s contributions from the get-go.
